Meet the Team
Hi, I’m Bruce. I co-own Athens Art & Frame with my wife Pam. I started with the company in 1985 after spending 5 years managing and running a color photo lab where we processed and printed color film. Pam started in 1970 and was my personal mentor and trainer. I like every aspect of this business and being a small business owner. From designing and production to working with people and finding new opportunities, I enjoy it all. Together, Pam and I have built this custom picture framing business that has grown to include a full-service photo center and products on 4 web platforms. Over my 35 years here, I have had the opportunity to work alongside many wonderful people on projects that have taken me to places all over the United States. Now you can most likely find me anywhere in the shop mentoring our incredibly talented staff or taking out the trash.
When I’m not at work you will most likely find me playing with my new canine children Cleo and Aspen, taking long 25+ mile bike rides, working in our yard or doing genealogy research.
I'm Lewis. I've been with Athens Art & Frame for too long to remember. I do a little bit of everything around the shop but mainly I build all the frames and I keep production moving to make sure orders are done right and done on time. I like working on a different project every day; there's always a new problem to solve and I enjoy coming up with creative solutions.
Outside of work you'll find me gardening, metal detecting or trying out a new way to use all of the wisteria vines growing in my backyard. Come by and see us!
Hey y'all! I'm Laura. I've been part of the Athens Art & Frame family for five years. I started working here after graduating from Piedmont College with a degree in fine arts. Getting to be around art every day is such a treat. You can usually find me in the production area cutting specialized mats, sewing down jerseys, stretching canvases and generally making your designs a reality! I love my job because I get to be creative while designing and when coming up with the best way to display and preserve unusual art objects. Working with my hands and seeing projects through from start to finish is so satisfying - especially when a customer really loves the final product.
When I'm not at work, you can usually find me painting pet portraits or outside gardening, hiking, biking or paddle boarding with my two dogs Roxie and Harper. I love art, animals and the outdoors! Stop by the shop and say hi, I would love to frame something up for you!
I am your go to source for all your printing needs at Athens Art & Frame. I've been with the company since 2015 and have done a little bit of everything, but found my niche in photo restoration and printing. With my background in graphic design and bachelors in fine art printmaking it was just a natural fit. To me, it is super satisfying to bring old photos back to life or help turn a phone snapshot into a framed artwork. I love seeing everyone's old photos and helping customers preserve their family story.
When I'm not printing away in the photo center you can find me working in the garden with my kitties and my boyfriend. I love anything to do with plants and the moon and the smell of patchouli and lavender.
If you've got old photos lying around or pics you need printed, give me a ring! I would love to help bring your next project to life.
Hey, I'm Chase. I've been with Athens Art & Frame four years so far, though I've been working with frames for three years before that. I came here after leaving the big-box retail scene, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I'll occasionally be out around the design counter, but for the most part I'll be in the back, handling all the online web orders and technical issues we come up against. I'm also responsible for putting together various bits of the website, such as this WONDERFUL page you are reading right now!
In my free time, I'm usually either reading or playing video games, and I've recently started working with 3D printing. I enjoy and specialize in science and technology, virtual reality, and cosplay and prop making.
Hello, I'm Russell. I've worked with AAF for over a year, and have loved getting to work with so many amazing pieces of art and hear the stories behind what makes each of them special. I work in the production area where I cut mats, drymount pieces and diplomas, stretch cross stitches, fit frames, and work on preserving and presenting your pieces in a way that reflects each customer's unique vision. I also occasionally assist in the photo center with scanning, editing and printing. I look forward to continuing to learn and work with an even wider variety of art.
